Gojjavlakki

Gojjavlakki is served as prasada in many temples now a days.Its easy to prepare and requires very less effort. This is also a tea time snack.Simple recipe with few available items and home.

You Need To Have:

1 cup Thick Poha/dappa Avlakki
1/4cup Tamarind paste/Hunse Huli
1/4 cup Jaggery powder/Bella
1 tsp Huli Pudi/Sambar Powder
1 tsp Sarina Pudi/Rasam Powder
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds/Sasive
1-2 tsp peanuts/kadlebija
1 tsp black gram/uddina bele
1 tsp bengla gram/kadle bele
8-10 curry leaves/Karibevu
pinch of hing
4 tsp Oil

Method:
Put poha in mixer and crush coarsely as shown below.Take care not to powder it too smooth.(Better to use pulse option of mixer).

wash it with water couple of times and drain it.keep it aside for 10-15 mins(poha will suck water and puffs up).

Sprinkle tamarind water on it.add jaggery,huli pudi,sarina pudi, salt,turmeric powder to it.


Mix all the ingrediants and keep it aside.


Heat oil in pan add mustard seeds.once it starts splittering grount nuts, black gram-bengal gram ,curry leaves and hing.fry them till they trun golden brown in color.Add Poha mixture and mix well. Finally mix dry cocnut powder and simer for 5 mins.

Serve it with a hot cup of coffee.
